Pucca is the series' main character. She is a young girl that lives with her guardians in the Chinese noodle shop Goh-Rong. She is madly and hopelessly in love with Garu and chases him constantly. She is always try to kiss him and gain his affections, although Garu does not return her affections. She will use her great combat skills -- some that rival the ninjas in her village -- on anyone that gets in her way of kissing Garu. Pucca is often kind and affectionate, although she does have quite a temper and a short fuse. Pucca does not speak.

Garu is a young ninja. He is very skilled and focused on his training. He is the object -- or victim -- of Pucca's extreme affections. He does not return her affection and avoids Pucca at all costs. Garu is very serious and seems annoyed at Pucca's constant attempts to kiss him and chase him. Garu will accept quests immediately if they will bring him "great honor" and trains daily, always trying to learn new skills as a ninja. He has a rival, Tobe, and often fights with him. Pucca protects him and harms anyone who tries to hurt him or insult him. Garu does not speak. He has a black cat named Mio.

Ching is Pucca's best friend. She is a kind young girl who loves flowers. She is known for her sweetness and for her pet chicken, Won, that sits on her head. Ching will often help Pucca with her problems. She owns two swords and trains with Abyo. She has a crush on Abyo, although at times, much to her frustration, he ignores her.

Abyo:

Abyo is a martial arts fighter. He is a friend of Garu. Abyo, however, is very different from Garu -- he's loud, outgoing, incredibly energetic and can be obnoxious at times. He is the object of Ching's affections but at times he pays her no attention. He practices Kung-Fu and is seen ripping off his shirt at any chance he gets. He is the son of Bruce, Sooga's police chief. He often shows off for girls and embarrasses himself from time to time.

Mio:

Mio is a black cat that is owned by the ninja Garu. He is very loyal to Garu, saving him whenever he is in danger and protecting him from anyone that speaks of harming him. Mio is not fond of vets and has something of a crush on a pink cat named Yani.

Tobe:

Tobe is a villain and ninja. He is known as Garu's rival and the two are often seen fighting. He, for some unknown reason, claims to want "vengeance" on Garu and tries to defeat Garu at all costs. He has never defeated him, yet he continues to try. He wears a mask and has ninja minions that live with him and follow his every commands, even though they are often incompetetant. Tobe is often stubborn and will do anything to defeat Garu, although he has shown some respect for Garu at one point. Garu almost always wins in their fights, but the few times he does not, Pucca will rescue him and attack Tobe.

Ring Ring:

Ring Ring is a self-centered young girl. She is Pucca's rival and an opera singer and it is implied that she's rich. She fights with Pucca and will do anything to make her mad. She is very jealous of Pucca and has tricked her, fought with her and made her cry on several occassions. She is obsessed with her looks tries not to lose her temper ("I'm too perfect to be angry.") and always competes with Pucca -- kissing Garu and using him to make Pucca jealous. Ring Ring owns a dog named Yuni. Dada has a crush on her, despite her attitude and rudeness towards him.

Master Soo:

Master Soo is an old deity who lives on a cloud just above Sooga village. He watches over it from time to time and although he seems to have knowledge beyond the villagers' years, he is often frustrated with their behavior and never puts it to use. At times he appears to be rather lazy and is seen making sarcastic commentary to anyone nearby. He has maidens that pamper him and that are always seen at his side.

The chefs work at the Chinese Goh-Rong restaurant. They are Pucca's guardians -- and in the Flash series, her uncles -- and they protect her and care for her. They are Uncle Dumpling, Ho and Linguini. They work together to create the noodles for their popular shop. Uncle Dumpling works on the vegetables, Ho cooks them and Linguini rolls the noodles. They are very dedicated to their work and often speak of making perfect noodles and making them with love and care. Their martial arts skills tend to have a cooking theme to them. It also seems that Pucca and Garu's "relationship" amuses them.
